Planning Resource Summer Solstice Plan
Weekly Meeting --We will have weekly Monday planning meetings at Sol Kitchen, 239 Bridge Street, from 7-8PM. We would be delighted if you are able to join us!
Dear friends of Pxv Area Transition Community,
Can you reach out to your group and help the PATC with this invitation?
We want to invite all PATC network organizations to join us as a co-hosts or sponsors at a Summer Solstice Celebration community picnic and concert. The event will be at the Kimberton Park Amphitheater on Sat Jun 22, from 4PM to sundown. Celebrating community is a key element of Transition communities’ efforts to build relationships. It’s time to share food and dance and grow the relationships we need to transition to a resilient local community.
We currently have Green Team and Sierra Club working as co-hosts to plan this event. We still have plenty of fun left in programming the event. New program ideas welcome!
We have a title sponsor, GOFOX, a local event planning and professional service company, to fund the registration and insurance. Thank you Makinlee Fox! We also have several $100 co-sponsors and are looking for more funding for the band and other expenses. Sponsor and co-sponsors will be featured in publicity.
Publicity for the event will also feature logos of all the co-hosts, so as a co-host you will share the spotlight as we spread the word about the celebration. We ask that a co-host commit to attend several planning meetings and share the event publicity with your group. Can you or someone from your group do that?
Our next planning meeting will be on Monday evening May 13, 7PM, at Sol Kitchen, 239 Bridge St. Can you be there?
If you would like to sponsor or co-host this event, please respond to this email and plan to come to the meeting on May 13, 7 PM.
