Birds and Bees!
Wildlife Habitats in the EcoVillage
Sunday, Feb 17th, 2019
3:30 to 6:30 pm
2237 Kimberton Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460
Discussion Group and Potluck
Come hear Mason Vollmer talk about
ecologically-sound ways of managing our site
to promote birds, bees, and other wildlife.
We have many micro-climates on our nine-acre site, from woods to active play areas, borders, community garden, front and back yards, and more. In keeping with our proposed EcoVillage Ordinance, we have a lot to learn as a community as to the best way to approach our work. We've also heard that East Pikeland would like to be a "Bird Town" and want to have a pollinator demonstration site. We can help, so let’s get started!
We will gather at 3:30 pm. Please RSVP if you would like to see Altair's site – we are offering a tour around 3:00 pm.
A good will donation is requested for this talk - $5 or so...
Bring a potluck dish to share for a dinner around 5:00 or 5:30 pm. Park at the Kimberton Arts Building at Kimberton and Prizer Roads and walk up the hill six houses, across the street.
